Jin Jiafei, Liu Chongrui, Li Wenyong, Patricia Mary Fosh
    2014, 35(8): 44-50.
    Abstract ( 1545 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1951 )
Work family conflict has attracted wide attention in both industrial and academic fields. Research on the effect of long working hours is, however, still inconclusive due to lack of empirical support, especially in China. The aim of this article is to add to the understanding of work family conflict by exploring the effect of sex differences and gender-role attitudes on the relationship between work hours and work family conflict. Data was collected from 2030 full-time Chinese employees located in five regions of China, and the results suggest that work hours have a significant effect on work-family conflict and sex has a positive moderating effect on this relationship. In addition, a three-way interaction effect among work hours, sex and gender-role attitude was found that helps to explain inconsistencies in current work family conflict research. Specifically, men with traditional gender-role attitudes experienced stronger work family conflict than did men with egalitarian gender-role attitudes. The implications of these findings are explored and discussed.

Ma Ning, Tian Ruya, Liu Yijun, Li Qianqian
    2014, 35(8): 83-92.
    Abstract ( 1867 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1596 )
Opinion leaders play an important role in promoting the formation of public opinion, which can influence the direction of public opinion. Existing research in opinion leaders focused on the recognition methods based on Social Network Analysis but not on different characteristics, functions and status of the opinion leaders. Due to shortage of existing research data, first of all, we use the Dynamic Network Analysis(DNA)to recognize the opinion leaders of online communities, and describe the establishment of meta-network and sub-network layers of online communities in details. Then, we propose six categories of opinion leaders and use some related measures to recognize the six categories of opinion leaders: the focal people, the spread people, the active people, the potential active people, the exclusivity people of posts, the exclusivity people of keywords. Finally, we show the feasibility and innovativeness of this method through a case study.

Research onthe decision of closed-loop supply chain under the government premium and penalty based on different power structure
    Li Xinran,Cai Haizhu, Mu Zongyu
    2014, 35(8): 134-144.
    Abstract ( 1349 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1878 )
Aimed at a closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) with a single manufacture and a single retailer under the government premium and penalty mechanism, this paper constructs a centralized CLSC game model and three decentralized CLSC game models with game theory, which are manufacture and retailer Nash balance, manufacture-stackelberg, and retailer-stackelberg. Then, we discuss the impact of the premium and penalty range as well as lowest return rate on the decision and profits of the four CLSC models. The research shows that as the premium and penalty range increases, wholesale price, collection rate and manufacture's profit increase while retail price reduces. The retailer's profit and CLSC total profit are affected by both government premium and penalty range and the lowest return rate. Therefore, only if the government set up reasonable penalty range and the lowest return rate can CLSC and members in the system obtain economic and ecological benefit.

    2014, 35(8): 145-152.
    Abstract ( 1239 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1970 )
Local government regulators and rare earth upstream enterprises are two important bodies in the rare earth upstream regulating market, and the interests of them both have a certain dynamic. In this paper, we established the evolutionary game model of local government regulators and rare earth upstream and then used matlab simulation software to analyze the findings. We found out that it is helpful to regulate the rare earth upstream market order by lowering the regulatory costs of local government regulatory authorities, increasing the punishment of upstream rare earth's illegal behavior, increasing the central government's subsidies to local governments and building a good external relationship for the rare earth upstream companies.

Research on the value relevance of advertising expenditure and R&D expenditure
    Ren Haiyun
    2014, 35(8): 153-160.
    Abstract ( 1394 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2163 )
Based on the data of 601 manufacturing companies listed on the A-shares market and using correlation analysis and regressionanalysis, this paper examines the value relevance of advertising expenditure and R&D expenditure and the complementarity of these two kinds of expenditures. Also, the accounting treatment of these two kinds of expenditures is discussed in this paper. Results show that in high-technology industry, capitalized R&D is positively and significantly associated with corporate value and the expensed R&D has no significant relevance with corporate value. Whether it is in high or low technology industry, advertising expenditure has a positive and significant relation with Tobin's Q. These findings suggest that capitalizing R&D expenditures policy should be only applied to high-technology industry, and the advertising expenditure should be capitalized in all industry. The paper also finds that advertising and R&D are complements in high-technology industry and market pull is more important than technology pushin the value creation of Chinese manufacturing listed companies. These results provide beneficial reference for enterprise investment decision; also they have important referencevalue for accounting standards establishing department.
