Jian Zhaoquan, Han Zhaojun, Huo Baofeng
    2013, 34(10): 27-34.
    Abstract ( 1713 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2115 )
This paper studies the impact of two dimensions of the network embeddedness (relational embeddedness and structural embeddedness) on innovation performance and the mediating effect of knowledge sharing from the perspective of supply chain management. Based on the data collected from 255 high-tech companies in China, we examine the relationships among network embeddedness, knowledge sharing, and innovation performance using structural equation modeling method. The research results indicate that from the perspective of supply chain management, it is the relational embeddedness but not the structural embeddedness that has a significant positive influence on the innovation performance, and knowledge sharing plays only a partial mediating role in the relationship between relational embeddedness and innovation performance. The theoretical significance of this study is that it explores the role of the network embeddedness in the knowledge sharing and performance innovation from the perspective of supply chain management and the findings also provide some guidance for the innovation activities and supply chain practitioners.

Yu Xianyun, Zeng Deming, Chen Yanli, Wen Jinyan
    2013, 34(10): 35-41.
    Abstract ( 1675 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2283 )
Based on the current studies at home and abroad in technology innovation networks, this paper examines the influence of technical innovation network density on network knowledge increase from the aspects of knowledge diffusion and knowledge innovation, and put forward a hypothesis that the network density has an inverted U-shaped relationship with knowledge increase. In order to test this hypothesis, a Multi-agent model was established, which demonstrates the process of knowledge increase in innovation network, and the NetLogo simulation platform was adopted to test the hypothesis. The results indicate that the effect of network density has the feature of duality. In other word, the network density will be disadvantageous to the knowledge increase of the innovation network when it is too high or too low. In the meantime, these results show that the inhibition of knowledge diffusion, which will then impede knowledge innovation, will appear when network density is too high and continue to increase.

Impact of complementary assets synergy on enterprise performance—from the prospect of moderating effects of technological relatedness
Jia Jun, Zhang Zhuo, Zhang Wei
    2013, 34(10): 84-93.
    Abstract ( 1653 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2235 )
When assessing the effects of the technological relatedness or complementary assets on the enterprise performance, most research has been carried out in isolation, neglecting the impact of the synergy of complementary assets on the enterprise performance and the moderation of the technological relatedness to them. By taking China's high-tech listed companies from 2004-2010 panel data as an example, the paper analyzes the relationship between complementary assets and enterprise performance and the moderation of the technological relatedness to their relationship. The results show that the synergy of complementary assets has a positive effect on the enterprise performance. The technological relatedness has a negative moderation to the relationship of the synergy of the manufacturing complementary assets and the marketing complementary assets on the enterprise performance. The technological relatedness has a positive moderation to the relationship of the synergy of the manufacturing complementary assets and the human complementary assets on the enterprise performance as well as to the relationship of the synergy of the marketing complementary assets and the human complementary assets on the enterprise performance. We conclude that while implementing the technological innovation strategy, strengthening the synergy of the technological relatedness and the professional complementary assets can give the enterprise the competitive advantage.

    Yu Liping
    2013, 34(10): 94-102.
    Abstract ( 1945 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2230 )
This paper establishes a study framework based on the analysis of the interactive influence mechanism of S&T input and output, then analyzes the Interactive relationship between S&T input and output based on panel data, Granger causality, pane VAR model, focusing on the performance research of funds from different financing channels. The research results show that the government S&T input has a certain rigidity and relative independence and cannot drive the enterprise S&T input. The enterprise S&T input and the S&T bank loan combine relatively more closely. The S&T output has greatly promoted the enterprise S&T input and the feedback to other elements is small. From the perspective of the factor contribution, the elastic coefficient of the government S&T input is greater than that of the enterprise S&T input while the elastic coefficient of the S&T bank loan is negative and the R&D labor is independent of the S&T output.

    Cheng Hua, Qian Fenfen
    2013, 34(10): 103-108.
    Abstract ( 1745 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2322 )
The analysis and evaluation of the implementation results and impacts of the S&T policies have great significance in enabling the government to improve such policies. The paper has collected China's 454 policies issued by the central government most relating to the industrial innovation and studies the relationship between the innovation performance and the power and stability of policy based on the C-D production function by using the 2000-2009 industry panel data. The research results reveal that the power of the innovation policy had a positive effect only on the technological performance but not on the economic performance. The instability of policy has negative effect on the motivation of the policies on the technological performance. The policy has a lag effect on the performance. Moreover, by studying the relationship between different policy instruments and the innovation performance, it is found that the supplying policy has a positive effect on the technological performance, and environment policy has a positive effect on the technological and economic performance, and the demanding policy has a positive effect on the economic performance. Finally, the paper suggests that government should pay more attention to the demanding policy and improve the innovation policy system, etc.

A study of dynamics of market oriented organizational change
    Zhang Jing, Duan Yanling
    2013, 34(10): 109-117.
    Abstract ( 1635 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2410 )
Based on the cross-case study, this paper presents a conceptual framework incorporating the dynamics of market oriented organizational change from the theoretical perspective of organizational change. Based on a questionnaire survey, the conceptual framework is empirically tested and the magnitudes of the impacts of dynamics factors are compared. This paper comes to the following conclusions: the context dynamics which consist of institutional environment pressures (including the strategic alliance, system certification, benchmarking, management consultancy and competitive pressure) drive precipitating dynamics on the level of top managers' perception and behavior (including the leader's demonstration effect and change awareness in crisis) on one hand, and facilitate enabling dynamics which consist of internal supporting systems (including inter-functional connectedness, formalization, market-based reward system, market-based training and use of IT) on the other hand, and finally improve the market oriented organizational change process. This study is the first kind of research which probes into the implementation issue of market orientation among Chinese firms by combining cross-case study and questionnaire survey. It contributes greatly to the literature of market orientation, organizational change, institution-based view and leadership theory, and also can provide relevant managerial implications for Chinese firms to implement market oriented changes.

S&T evaluation model based on indicator value change and its empirical study on typical provinces
Cheng Yanqiu, Chi Guotai, Li Gang
    2013, 34(10): 122-130.
    Abstract ( 1678 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2250 )
According to the connotation of the scientific outlook on development: "insisting on human-oriented, creating the comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable outlook on development, and promoting the overall development of economy, society and human", this paper establishes an indicators system to evaluate science and technology (S&T) among Chinese provinces based on the R cluster and factor analysis. According to the evaluation principles which include the S&T output, the influence of S&T on economy and society and the S&T input, by using value change of each indicator to determine their weights, this paper constructs the S&T evaluation model based on the indicator value change, and then carries out an empirical study of 14 typical provinces of China in 2009. The contribution and special features of this paper lie in two aspects. Firstly, this paper determines the weight of indicators by comparing the result of clustering between the original indicator values and the changed ones. It reflects the idea that the greater the indicators' impact on the evaluation results is, the bigger their weights should be. This changes the situation that existing researches neglect indicators change's impact on evaluation result when determining their weights. Secondly, the five main influential indicators of S&T development are comprehensive energy consumption per ten-thousand-yuan GDP, the contribution rate of S&T progress, the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste, export of high-tech products and the gross yield proportion of high-tech industries and total industries. These five indicators play an important role on the S&T development and the sum of their weight is up to 0.6150.

Influencing factors identification of transportation low-carbonization capacity based on the RBF-DEMATEL model
Cui Qiang, Wu Chunyou, Kuang Haibo
    2013, 34(10): 131-137.
    Abstract ( 1548 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2326 )
It is a hot academic topic to identify the influencing factors of transportation low-carbonization capacity which are numerous and interrelated. This study improves the traditional Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method according to its boundedness and proposes the RBF-DEMATEL method which is suitable for the influencing factors identification of transportation low-carbonization capacity. It exploits the RBF neural network to calculate the weights between object index and influencing factor index and uses the weights to get the direct-relation matrix, then takes advantage of the traditional DEMATEL method to study the influencing factors of transportation low-carbonization capacity. The empirical analysis shows that this method is feasible and can supply theoretical support in improving the transportation low-carbonization capacity, so the RBF-DEMATEL method enriches the theory and method in studying the influencing factors and provides the possibility of extracting the fundamental influencing factors effectively.
