    Yao Xilong, Yu Bo
    2012, (8): 35-40.
    Abstract ( 2074 )   PDF (882KB) ( 2579 )
The nonparametric Malmqusit index is applied to measure total factor productivity of industry from the year of 1995 to 2008, then the influential effect among technical progress, industrial restructure, and carbon dioxide emissions is discussed based on a multiplicative interaction model. The results show that technological progress is able to restrain industrial emissions of carbon dioxide. Industrial restructure could promote carbon dioxide emissions. However, technological progress and industrial restructure play the different roles in different regions. Technical progress in eastern part of China has the most significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions restriction. Industrial restructure in central and western regions of China has the most impact on their carbon dioxide emissions.

Yu Liping, Long Xinwen, Wu Yishan
    2012, (8): 41-47.
    Abstract ( 2324 )   PDF (927KB) ( 2725 )
The eigenfactor and other bibliometric indicators are analyzed based on panel data collected from Thomson Reuters JCR. The results show that eigenfactor score is highly correlated with article influence score. Immediacy index and impact factor are not correlated with eigenfactor score, however are correlated with article influence factor. Cited half-life and five-year impact factor are negative correlated with eigenfactor score, but are positive correlated with article influence factor. Total cites and articles are positive correlated with eigenfactor score, but are negative correlated with article influence score. It is argued that eigenfactor is very important for improving academic journals’ quality. The methods for studying performance indexes relations should be reexamined. The relations among performance indexes in other disciplines require further research.

Dong Huizhong, Yan Xiuxia, Tao Jiange
    2012, (8): 120-127.
    Abstract ( 2474 )   PDF (1001KB) ( 2772 )
A Morishima Elasticity of Substitution (MES) model of iron and steel industry is established based on translog production cost function. The spatial panel data of iron and steel industry in China from 1985 to 2006 are adopted. Energy, capital, and labor are main production factors in the model. The substitution elasticity is analyzed. The results are as follows: Self-Price Elasticity (SPE) of energy, capital, and labor is less than zero; SPE of capital is the smallest; Cross-Price Elasticity (CPE) and Morishima substitution elasticity is greater than zero. The results have proved the substitution relationship between energy and capital/labor, and energy could effectively substitute for labor and capital; however the substitution degree of labor and capital for energy is low. Therefore, it could stimulate the enthusiasm of enterprises to conserve energy, and increase investment in energy-saving technologies in order to improve energy efficiency by raising energy prices and the level of taxation.

The relationship between inter-firm network position and product innovationperformance with the contingent view
Peng Xinmin, Wu Lijuan, Wang Lin
    2012, (8): 137-145.
    Abstract ( 2300 )   PDF (1005KB) ( 2656 )
At present, there are debates on that in order to conduct product innovation, either prominent network position or entrepreneurial network position should be selected. It is possible to settle the puzzle if two moderate variables, that is, technology-oriented strategy and market dynamics, are introduced to analyze the contingent effect on innovation performance caused by these two network positions. Through the empirical study on 208 manufacturing firms in Zhejiang Province, China, it is found that these two network positions both have positive effects on product innovation performance, and the higher the firm's technology-oriented strategy is, the more significant the positive effects will be. The higher the market dynamics is, the more significant positive effects on product innovation performance the entrepreneurial network position will have, however, the negative moderate effects of market dynamics on the relationship between prominent network position and product innovation performance is insignificant. The conclusions not only clarify the detailed context for the utility of different network position, but also provide implications on how to choose appropriate network position for conducting product innovation of firms.

Chen Zhongchang, Xie Bo, Ding Congming
    2012, (8): 153-160.
    Abstract ( 2266 )   PDF (991KB) ( 3218 )
From the new perspective of the dual-track system for Chinese economic transformation, why the natural resource-rich areas have relatively slow economic growth is analyzed. Due to the special structure in the proceeding, it is defined as the Chinese style resource curse. Results reveal that the effect of the resource curse does exist, and the dual-track system is an important factor that leads to it. The development level of regional economy is further analyzed by using the panel error modified model. It is further confirmed that energy supply, or energy demand is cointegrated with the dual-track system in the long term, and the dual-track system impairs economic growth more severely in resource-rich areas than that in other areas.
