Wang Xiangbing, Yan Guangle, Yang Weizhong
    2012, 33(11): 1-8.
    Abstract ( 2088 )   PDF (1259KB) ( 2938 )
Regional innovation system is the system that consists of cooperative innovation, learning decision, and dynamic game between enterprises and research institutions. In order to reveal complexities and the dynamic evolution path of regional innovation system, both learning competition model and evolutionary game model are introduced into the research on the initial conditions and inner decision factors of dynamic evolution for the regional innovation system, the cooperative innovation process of enterprises and research institutions and the evolution of cooperative innovation patterns under dynamic environment conditions are analyzed by building a learning competition model and an evolutionary game model between enterprises and scientific research institutions. The results show that the evolution direction of regional innovation system is related not only to the pay matrix of the two sides of the game, their learning behavior and ability, but also to the initial state of regional innovation system evolution. Moreover, the key factors affecting the dynamic evolution of regional innovation system are the cooperative income, loss caused by risk, initial cost in the cooperative innovation between research institutions and enterprises, and bilateral discount factor.

Chen Ao, Liu Xielin, Gao Guangyu
    2012, 33(11): 9-15,23.
    Abstract ( 1965 )   PDF (1425KB) ( 3280 )
The fuel cell industry as a subfield of emerging industry is selected as a research object. Based on the investigation on the formation characteristics of highly cited patents, some policy recommendations are refined for the development of emerging industry in the late-comer country. Empirical results indicate that highly cited patents are the product of mutual cooperation between inventors, and the knowledge sources of highly cited patents are more dependent on scientific literature, meanwhile, the dominant companies which have more patents do not have the ownership of highly cited patent. Furthermore, the development of emerging industry in late-comer country has a window of opportunity but not congenital advantage, the local firms of late-comer country must actively embed in the global R&D network, pay more attention to the basic research, and voluntary participate in global distribution of intellectual property right and standard formulation.

Industrial production efficiency based on a three-stage DEA model
    Guo Yajun
    2012, 33(11): 16-23.
    Abstract ( 2281 )   PDF (924KB) ( 2376 )
By using the three stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model, the industrial production efficiency of China in 2009 is studied. The results indicate that a three-stage DEA model is more reasonable than the traditional DEA method for measuring the efficiency of industrial production; the variables of the level of resource utilization, the per capita consumption, the per capita GDP, the ratio of financial expenditure to GDP, the ratio of private capital to total capital, and the level of openness to the outside world have significant effects on industrial production efficiency, and each province in China should strive to improve the environmental factors and create a favorable environment for improving the industrial production efficiency; each province should take the measurements to improve the technical efficiency and expand the industrial production scale, strengthening the internal driving force of industrial production efficiency according to their own types of industrial production efficiency.

Growth paths of innovation performance, stock of R&D capital, and absorptive capacity
    Zhou Wenguang, Huang Ruihua
    2012, 33(11): 24-31.
    Abstract ( 2162 )   PDF (988KB) ( 2598 )
The growth paths of innovation performance, stock of R&D capital, and absorptive capacity are analyzed using the system of difference equations. The results indicate that in the event of the sum of present value rate of stock of R&D capital and total contribution rate of innovation performance in the prior period to that in current period is less than one, growths of innovation performance, stock of R&D capital, and absorptive capacity are under restrictions, and speeds of their growths are getting smaller and smaller. In the event of the sum of present value rate of stock of R&D capital and total contribution rate of innovation performance in prior period to that in current period is greater than one, growths of innovation performance, stock of R&D capital, and absorptive capacity are unconstrained, and speeds of their growths are getting bigger and bigger. Furthermore, the rate of depreciation, innovation performance from other elements, contribution margin of stock of R&D capital for absorptive capacity in the same term and total contribution rate of stock of R&D capital for innovation performance in the same term also have influence on the speeds of their growths.

Spatial difference and change trend of provincial TFP in China
    Tao Changqi, Qi Yawei
    2012, 33(11): 32-39,48.
    Abstract ( 2126 )   PDF (1692KB) ( 2561 )
Using DEA three-stage model and Malmquist index decomposition method, The Total Factor Productivity (TFP) of 28 provinces and cities in China during the period of 1987-2008 are measured and decomposed, the change trends and regional differences of TFP are also analyzed. At the same time, Kernel density distribution method is used to analyze the effects of input factors and TFP on regional economic gap. The results show that environmental factors have a great effect on the measurement of efficiency; therefore DEA three-stage model enhances scientificness of efficiency evaluation and comparability between the provinces. Technical efficiency is the main factor impacting TFP change, and spatial difference of TFP change is quite large, however the difference shows a narrowing trend. Evenly spatial distribution of input factors makes a greater contribution to narrow China’s regional economic gap.

The construction and empirical study on team meta-competence model
    Du Bin, Li Junfeng
    2012, 33(11): 40-48.
    Abstract ( 2251 )   PDF (1150KB) ( 2683 )
Based on the competence theory, from the perspective of long-term harmonious development, the meta-competence model describes much more internal ability property of individuals and teams than the concept of competence does. With knowledge workers and innovation teams for research object, the composition of meta-competence dimension is proposed, a four-dimensional measurement model is constructed, and the corresponding scales and measurement items are designed. Secondly, according to the process of deductive scale inspection, the validity and reliability of measurement scales are verified from concept validity, reliability, homologous variance, and criterion-related validity, respectively. The meta-competence is also proved to be a higher order concept than the competence is. The groundwork is laid down for further studying the influence of the individual meta-competence on team meta-competency and the formation and evaluation mechanism of team competitive power.

The relationship between top management team’s structuraldifferences and corporate acquisitions
    Yang Lin, Yang Qian
    2012, 33(11): 57-67.
    Abstract ( 2432 )   PDF (899KB) ( 2627 )
By taking the listed companies of Chinese information technology industry during the period from 2005 to 2010 as a research sample, the relationship between Top Management Team (TMT) structural differences, including background characteristics of TMT and vertical differences between TMT and president of the board, and corporate acquisitions is empirically examined. The results of Logistic regression analysis indicate that firstly, the background characteristics of TMT will significantly influence the occurrence probability and pattern of corporate acquisitions, among them, average age and tenure of TMT are significantly negatively correlated with corporate acquisitions occurrence probability and pattern, but the male ratio of TMT has a positive effect on the corporate acquisitions occurrence probability and pattern. Secondly, the vertical differences between TMT and president of the board will positively influence the corporate acquisition occurrence probability; among them, the differences between age and gender of TMT have a significantly positive effect on corporate acquisition occurrence probability. The results have theoretical and practical implications for optimizing TMT structure, improving company’s internal governance environment, and designing enterprise development strategies.

    Ren Huaifei, Zhang Xumei
    2012, 33(11): 68-75.
    Abstract ( 2037 )   PDF (1203KB) ( 2849 )
By adopting ASP-based critical business application service, ASP customers are able to optimize business process and improve operation performance. However, the incapability and moral hazards of ASP providers might also bring the risk to ASP customers’ business operation. In order to solve the problems involving ASP providers’ capability construction and motivation, a multi-task principal-agent model is built. Based on three kinds of capability constructing models, the incentive contracts for the ASP providers that provide critical business application service and execute the two tasks involving the system operation service and the business consultant service are analyzed. Based on the study, if ASP providers’ two-dimensional tasks are motivated, the incentive results are distinctly different for the ASP providers with three kinds of capability construction models, and finally impact ASP customers’ operation performance; ASP providers should select the most suitable capability construction model based on their resources and capability before entering the market of critical business application service; ASP customers should choose the competent ASP providers according to the service market and design the correspond incentive contracts to motivate the ASP providers.

The exploration of the self-reports on workplace deviant behavior
    Zhang Yan, Chen Weizheng
    2012, 33(11): 76-83.
    Abstract ( 2147 )   PDF (960KB) ( 2849 )
The studies on workplace deviance behavior are criticized for over-reliance on self-report methodology. Two samples of self-reports and projective self-reports of workplace deviant behavior are tested using SEM multiple-group analysis. The result demonstrates that projective self-reports is able to deal with the under-reporting of self-repots to a great extent, and self-reports and projective self-reports are both useful for assessing deviant behavior in organizations. Moreover, it is proved that the selection and recruitment with reward strategy are able to directly affect workplace deviant behavior.

Managers’ overconfidence and the financing order of enterprises
    Liu Yanwen, Guo Jie
    2012, 33(11): 84-88.
    Abstract ( 2092 )   PDF (923KB) ( 2670 )
The psychological characteristic of managers’ overconfidence has seriously affected the financing decisions of companies. The method of performance prediction deviation is used to measure the extent of managers’ overconfidence, and then an Ordered-probit model is applied to investigate the relationship between managers’ overconfidence and financing order. The results point out that Chinese listed companies give first priority to short-term debt financing, with equity financing in the second place; the companies having overconfident managers prefer long-term liabilities financing to internal financing, and allotment financing to convertible bond financing. The companies having non-overconfident managers do quite the opposite.

Continuous time based network flow interception model and algorithm——A case study of preventive drunk driving interception problem
    Zhu Huagui, Qiao Lianbao
    2012, 33(11): 89-95.
    Abstract ( 1983 )   PDF (975KB) ( 2737 )
A continuous time typed network flow interception problem has been proposed; a preventive drunk driving interception model has been developed with the goal for protecting entire traffic network. According to the characteristics of the problem, a time based iterative improved algorithm and Lagrange heuristic algorithm for discrete site selection problem are devised, respectively, they are applied to the random instances in order to test the performance. The computational result indicates that by separating the continuous time variable from the discrete site selection variable, the original problem could finally be resolved by solving a series of covering problems. The iterative improved algorithm is more powerful in time search, therefore the problem is able to solve in few iteration times.

The relationship among supply logistics synchronization, supply chain agility, and firm performance
Xie Lei, Ma Shihua, Gui Huaming, Huang Pei
    2012, 33(11): 96-104.
    Abstract ( 2145 )   PDF (1038KB) ( 2760 )
The theory of supply logistics synchronization is proposed based on enterprise investigation, literature review, and expert interview. The supply logistics synchronization emphasizes not only on the synchronization between the multiple suppliers and the downstream manufacturers, but also on the collaboration among the suppliers to meet the needs of the downstream manufacturers. The scale which includes three dimensions, that is, synchronization between suppliers and manufacturers, synchronization among suppliers, and logistics service capability is developed to measure supply logistics synchronization. A relationship model among supply logistics synchronization, supply chain agility, and firm performance is also proposed. In addition, a statistic analysis on the data collected by questionnaires presented on "e-works" site is conducted to test and validate the scale; the direct and indirect effects of supply logistics synchronization on supply chain agility and firm performance are analyzed.

The relationship among network embeddedness, entrepreneurial orientation, and new firm performance
    Yi Chaohui
    2012, 33(11): 105-115.
    Abstract ( 2241 )   PDF (1031KB) ( 2511 )
In the field of entrepreneurship, a relationship between network and the growth of new firm has been a hot topic attracting much attention from both academic and practical circles. Drawing from the network theory and the resource-based view of the firm, firstly, a conceptual model involving network embeddedness, entrepreneurial orientation, and entrepreneurial performance is built. By using the questionnaire and structure equation modeling, it is found that the structural embeddedness, relational embeddedness, and cognitive embeddedness of network have the positive relationship with the entrepreneurial performance, but their roles are in a descendant manner; the entrepreneurial orientation is positively correlated with the entrepreneurial performance, and has a positively mediative effect among structural network embeddedness, relational network embeddedness, and entrepreneurial performance, however, the cognitive network embeddedness does not boost entrepreneurial performance.

Sun Hongwu, Qi Bo, Liu Zhimin
    2012, 33(11): 122-128.
    Abstract ( 2162 )   PDF (1022KB) ( 2525 )
Based on the perspective of process management, an implementing effect evaluation index system for the test pilot curing-typed projects in agricultural science and technology is built on basis of four dimensions, including technological capability, economic benefit, social return, and ecological effect. An evaluation model is established by the means of fuzzy synthetic evaluation method. Both of the evaluation index system and model are applied to identify the implementation of Chinese leaping plan and the result shows that they are feasibility and efficiency. The proposal for the study is that only the index system is scientifically set by the end users, i.e. farmers who are evaluation participants, then the index system is able to reflect the curing degree of agricultural science and technology achievements better and provide reliable evidence for their further extensions and applications.

The relationship among external business environment, green business strategy, and competitive advantage by taking environmental performance as a moderator
    Cheng Cong, Xie Hongming
    2012, 33(11): 129-136.
    Abstract ( 1947 )   PDF (962KB) ( 2930 )
The prior literatures have rarely combined the external business environment with green business strategy, when they researched the impact of green business strategy implementing by enterprises on the improvement of competitive advantage, and they also ignored the moderative effect caused by the environmental performance between green business strategy and competitive advantage. By taking the environmental performance as a moderator, a theoretical model of the external business environment, green business strategy, and competitive advantage is built, and the empirical research is conducted by combining the questionnaire survey of 89 chemical printing and dyeing enterprises in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province and Wujiang, Jiangsu Province. The results show that (1) external business environment has a significant positive effect on both green business strategy and competitive advantage; (2) environmental performance plays a significant positive moderative role between green business strategy and competitive advantage. It becomes clear that the impact due to both external business environment and environmental performance on competitive advantage while enterprises implement green business strategy; and the fact further perfects the results of the previous studies; meanwhile, it provides some recommendations for China’s enterprises to rightly carry out green business strategy.

The relocating motivation of cluster firms based on the perspectiveagglomeration advantage dissipation
    Wu Bo
    2012, 33(11): 137-143.
    Abstract ( 1976 )   PDF (841KB) ( 2881 )
The theory of agglomeration advantage dissipation has emerged as a key guidance for inquiring into the determinants of cluster firms’ relocating motivation. Based on previous researches, the key factors in a regional level motivating the relocation of cluster firms are further identified; and at the firm level, the different influential mechanisms of capability heterogeneity and scale difference on the relocation of cluster firms revealed. Focusing on home appliances industry cluster in Cixi of Zhejiang Drovince, it is found that incontrollable regional factors are the key factors influencing cluster firms’ relocation motivation; the cluster firms with strong capability does not indicate clear relocating motivation; and the cluster firms with large scale show evident motivation to stay.

The strategy choice of cooperative behavior among the members in the knowledge network
Zhang Baosheng, Zhang Qingpu, Wang Xiaohong
    2012, 33(11): 144-151.
    Abstract ( 2089 )   PDF (1145KB) ( 2552 )
Cooperation between members is the foundation for successfully operating knowledge network. It possesses the important meaning for researching the behavior strategy of members on the premise of cooperation. Under the member cooperates condition, network node distributes input elements, such as time, energy, funds, etc., between the different behaviors, such as knowledge transfer, cooperation innovation, independent study, and independent innovation in order to maximize its knowledge increment. Starting with the analysis on the expected return functions of knowledge transfer and cooperation innovation, the member’s optimum strategy choice on the premise of cooperation is discussed through the comprehensive analysis on the returns and risk factors under different situations. By taking knowledge network G with five nodes as an example, the question is further analyzed.

The review on temporary competitive advantage
    Li Qinghua, Wang Wenping
    2012, 33(11): 152-160.
    Abstract ( 2335 )   PDF (861KB) ( 2604 )
Since the naissance of strategic management theory, there has been a connotative hypothesis that sustainable competitive advantage does exist. Therefore, how to achieve the sustainable competitive advantage becomes the main focus of studies concerning strategic management theories. However, it seems increasingly difficult for an enterprise to ensure its competitive advantage due to the complexity and uncertainty of the market environment. For the past few years, many studies show that the so-called competitive advantage is usually rare or declines fast, thus it is facing more and more doubts. As a result, many foreign scholars start to explore and study temporary competitive advantage. At present, there are three schools of temporary competitive advantage grounding on action, resource, and performance, respectively in the foreign academic circle.
