    Jiang Jihai
    2009, 30(6): 1-8 .
    Abstract ( 1640 )   PDF (1211KB) ( 2546 )
Abstract: Knowledge transfer costs are the transaction costs and barriers associated with the process of knowledge transfer. First, the paths of knowledge transfer is analyzed, and it is put forward that cost determinants should be found in the extent, density, speed, and interaction of knowledge transfer from a new perspective. Then the influencing mechanism of these determinants is discussed in detail and the overcoming approaches are provided. They differentiate from the former researches, open the black box of knowledge transfer, integrate their paths, costs and mechanisms. Finally, Suntech power corporation case is studied and the related results are proved.

The emprical research on the impact of technical progress against China’s energy efficiency

    Xu Shiyuan
    2009, 30(6): 16-24 .
    Abstract ( 1821 )   PDF (1039KB) ( 1805 )
Abstract: Many variables are applied to measure the technological progress; among them are research and development input,FDI, human capital, and technology spillover of foreign countries. Then the coordinating analysis and Granger causality analysis are made on the technical progress and energy efficiency, and futhermore a generalized difference regression model is established. The results from empirical analysis show that long-run equilibrium relationship in some degree exists between these four variables and energy efficiency. Moreover, the R&D input, FDI, and energy efficiency form a relation of one-way causation. Therefore, it will have a long-term effect on the improvement for China’s energy efficiency by means of increasing investment in science and technology, speeding up the absorption and utilization of FDI.

    2009, 30(6): 31-38 .
    Abstract ( 1808 )   PDF (1081KB) ( 2275 )
Abstract: A two-period overlapping generations model of human capital accumulation for R&D with threshold effects is studied. The model gives some details about innovation convergence effects and club convergence effects in the process of regional innovation. And then, based on the convergence theory of economic growth ,the threshold regression model with panel data, and the regional innovation data in China during 1996-2006, the empirical results show that there is threshold effect for R&D human capital, that is, about equal to 93 persons per 10,000 sq km, and there are also two kinds of club convergence in China. At the same time, the threshold regression model with panel data can solve the problem that club convergence effect is endogenously determined.

A comparative research on the effect of win-back strategy upon customer loyalty

Tang Xiaofei, Di Qiang, Guo Hong
    2009, 30(6): 83-90 .
    Abstract ( 1729 )   PDF (1086KB) ( 2256 )
Abstract: Win-back management for lost customers is now the main research direction in marketing academia. Guanxi investment and price promotion strategies are both important marketing methods to obtain new customers, as well as to win back lost customers. However, academia and industry have different perspective on the prospects of applying the two strategies. In particular, foreign managers are skeptical of the operation of Guanxi investment in local Chinese markets. Through a survey conducted among 1,074 win-back customers from 121 hotels, it is found that customers’ trust, affective attachment and price-insensitivity in Guanxi investment conditions are significantly higher than that in price promotion conditions. Thus, customers have significantly higher affective commitment, attitude loyalty, and behavior loyalty in Guanxi investment condition rather than in price promotion condition. Therefore, the useful references for companies’ marketing activities are provided.

The study on stability of marketing channel alliance based on the KMRW reputation mode

    Sun Xia1, Zhao Xiaofei2
    2009, 30(6): 100-106 .
    Abstract ( 1739 )   PDF (1027KB) ( 2122 )
Abstract: Marketing Channel Alliance(MCA) has become an important development from 1980’s. In this development process, the stability of MCA has become a core content of alliance research. However, the research on stability of MCA is rarely concerned by scholars. Most studies focus on the strategic alliance stability, part of scholars studies focus on supply chain alliance stability. To solve instability of alliance, the above studies either overly pay attention to “interest settlement mechanism” while ignoring the “reputation settlement mechanism” or only pay attention to the “longitudinal marketing channel alliance” and ignore “horizontal marketing channel alliance”. To ensure the MCA’s smoothly operation, one of the key issues is relying on the mutual supervision and mutual encouragement of inner member of MCA. But, this mutual supervision and mutual encouragement are based on information identification and delivery among alliance members, and reputation is external performance of above information identification and delivery process. Reputation mechanism can identify and constraint non-cooperation members, reduce the numbers of camouflage cooperation members, thereby constrain the incidence of opportunistic behavior in MCA and maintain the stability of the MCA, but the working of reputation mechanism needs certain condition. Aiming at a few problems for the MCA cooperation, several suggestions to ensuring stability of MCA and further research questions are proposed.

Channel pricing strategy under the mode of retailer collusion

    Fan Xiaojun1,2, Chen Hongmin2
    2009, 30(6): 113-119 .
    Abstract ( 1837 )   PDF (1164KB) ( 2041 )
Abstract: Retailer collusion is a method for improving profit; it will influence the decision-making conduct of channel pricing. Aiming at the conventional channel structure made by many manufacturers and retailers, the influence of retailer collusion on channel pricing decision under three kinds of channel power structure is discussed. The research results are as follows. Regardless of power structure, retailer differentiation has no impact on the channel pricing decision. When the production cost is above the certain value, the trade price and retailing pricing under retailer collusion are higher than that under non-retailer collusion. Retailer collusion will be of benefit to the retailer, but do the damage to the manufactures. When the production cost is higher than the certain value, no matter which channel member is in the position of Stackelberg leader, consumers will gain the benifit. Under a power structure, the profit levels for the manufacturer and retailer are the highest. Under whichever power structure, if there is collusion between retailers, and the product differentiation is larger, the manufacturer will be better off and will have a negative effect on the retailers.

    2009, 30(6): 141-151 .
    Abstract ( 1645 )   PDF (1089KB) ( 2500 )
Abstract: It is crucial for the company to manage the exchange relationship with its employees, that is, Employee-Organization Relationship (EOR). Present researches on EOR have been conducted either from employee’s perspective or from employer’s perspective, only a few of them tried to study it from dual perspectives. Based on the literature review on related researches, the I-P/C model of EOR from dual perspectives is developed and tested empirically. The findings are as follows: (1) comparing with economic inducements developmental inducements has a stronger and wider effect on employee’s contributions; (2) perceptual incongruence of inducements between employees and their supervisors do have a moderating effect on the exchange between organizational inducements and employee’s contributions; (3) reciprocal EOR can benefit more to both employee and employer.
