An empirical research on adaptive reconfiguration of enterprise technological innovation capability: The evidence from 376 high-tech enterprises
    Chen Litian
    2015, 36(8): 1-9.
    Abstract ( 1120 )   PDF (1KB) ( 2488 )
Under the context of economic transition, the environmental adaptive reconfigurationof the enterprise technological innovation capability becomes the focus issue in both academia and industry. In recent studies, an empirical study about enterprise technological innovation capability reconfiguration and its boundary condition is lacked. In order to fill this gap, this paper, based on the perspectives of dynamic capability and organizational ambidexterity, and by means of the data of 376 high-tech enterprises from China, identified the adaptive reconfiguration path of high-tech enterprise technological innovation capability, through which the innovation performance can be improved. The research result shows that "realized absorptive capacity→knowledge integration capability→knowledge creation capability" is a superior adaptive reconfiguration path of high-tech enterprise technological innovation capability. When the environment is more dynamic, its superiority is more obvious. This finding not only filled the gap on the field of capability reconfiguration and technological innovation, but also has managerial implication on the enterprises' innovation and development under the context of economic transition.

Li Yuhua, Wang Yueming, Hu Yaoying
    2015, 36(8): 10-17.
    Abstract ( 1235 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1284 )
In order to explore the factors influencing technology innovation and the relationship among different factors in strategic emerging industries, some hypotheses are proposed based on the analysis of the factors influencing technology innovation, and the structural equation model of the factors is constructed. Then the hypotheses are tested by applying the structural equation model by means of the questionnaire survey results and factor analysis method. The results show that the following six factors have significant impacts on technology innovation in strategic emerging industries, intervention of governments, synergic innovation of enterprises, participation of universities and research institutions, willingness to cannibalize of industrial organizational units, key resources and operation management. Among the above mentioned factors, intervention of governments, synergic innovation of enterprises, participation of universities and research institutions, willingness to cannibalize are the main influencing factors. The involvement of intermediary organizations has no significant impact on technology innovation in strategic emerging industries. The research results provide a guidance and reference for key factor management and control of technology innovation in strategic emerging industries.

    2015, 36(8): 18-27.
    Abstract ( 892 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1229 )
From the perspective of creative similarity, we build up the complex network construction of innovation infrastructure and environment, innovation input, innovation output and innovation base on the data of 31 provinces of China in 2011. Then we discuss the characteristics and development direction of four dimensions of the provincial innovation system. Our results show:each dimensions of provinces innovation is isomorphic to a certain extent, and this phenomenon is weakened gradually in the innovation chain. Groups (types) of four dimensions can reflect the development of a certain degree of gradient. To be specific, internal block model structure is relatively close and the each group's character is significant of the first two dimensions, Output of innovation, innovation achievement diffusion dimension group structure is loose, but the typical and benchmarking of development in each group is obvious.

Does criticism motivate creativity? A research on the effects of negative feedbacks on team creativity
Geng Zizhen, Liu Xinmei, Zhang Xiaofei
    2015, 36(8): 36-43.
    Abstract ( 979 )
In the Web 2.0 era, the boundary of innovative team becomes increasingly open, which has made team's creative work vulnerable to external negative feedbacks. However, the external antecedents of team creativity have been largely neglected in the literature. Thus, this study tested the impacts of different styles of external negative feedbacks on team creativity, as well as the moderating effects of team characteristic (cooperative goal interdependence) on those impacts from a motivated information processing perspective, and proposed the related hypotheses. Using hierarchical regression to analyze the data collected in a laboratory experiment of 97 teams, we found the following results which could enrich our understanding about the external antecedents of team creativity: firstly, controlling negative feedback has a negative impact on the novelty dimension of team creativity, and cooperative goal interdependence weakens this impact through a negative moderating effect on it; secondly, informational negative feedback has positive impacts on both the novelty dimension and the meaningfulness dimension of team creativity, and cooperative goal interdependence strengthens those impacts through positive moderating effects on them.

    2015, 36(8): 44-51.
    Abstract ( 932 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1206 )
The paper uses the agent-based modeling method to build up a micro-founded industry evolution model with endogenous innovation mechanism and studies the enterprise technology innovation behaviors' impacts on the optimization of the industrial structure based on the theory of evolution of industrial structure and the innovation theory. The study finds out that: (1) Process innovation boosts the industry structure rationality. With bigger size, both product innovation and process innovation facilitate the rationality of industry structure; and (2) As to the upgrading of industry structure, process innovation is more beneficial to the increasing of non-agriculture share of GDP(NAGR), whereas product innovation promote the decreasing of Hoffmann Coefficient. With the scale rising, both process innovation and product innovation lead to the increasing of NAGR. At the same time the rising of product innovation scale promote the declining of Hoffmann Coefficient.

    Ma Kehang
    2015, 36(8): 60-67.
    Abstract ( 1012 )
Based on the perspective of open innovation, the paper proposes the hypotheses of relationship among virtual integration network capability, knowledge resources access and innovation performance. These hypotheses are tested by using regressions analysis method with date collected from 195 enterprises. The results show that the network perception capability has a significant positive effect on network integration capability and network adaptive capability. Network integration capability and network adaptive capability have a positive influence on achieving explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge. Tacit knowledge resources access and enterprises' innovation performance are significantly positive related. All the results indicate that during the integration of virtual network, only perception capability cannot bring excellent performance for enterprises. Enterprises will achieve the competitive advantage only when the perception capability, enterprise process, and enterprises' resources are unified together.

A novel enterprise knowledge management methods based on multiple source knowledge fusion
    Wang Xiaojian, Liu Yanping
    2015, 36(8): 77-85.
    Abstract ( 1029 )   PDF (1KB) ( 932 )
As a novel management theory of the knowledge-based economy, the key research problem of enterprise knowledge management is how to conduct management on organization members, human resources and customers. Traditional knowledge management approaches are based on the closed enterprise management history data. However, they are not able to discover the knowledge for modern enterprises more comprehensively. This paper studies the methodologies of behavior modeling on web data and heterogeneous information fusion for enterprise knowledge management. We serve enterprise knowledge management as the research objective, treat the employees of the petrochemical enterprises as the research target, and use the natural language processing techniques as the pattern representation method. We build our knowledge analytical method based on the statistical machine learning for heterogeneous information fusion mechanisms, in order to construct a comprehensive behavior understanding and knowledge discovery methodologies, and try to use big data and information fusion to construct the enterprise knowledge based management and performance management. Extensive knowledge management experiments in petrochemical enterprises validate the effectiveness of our approach, which is capable of analyzing and understanding the enterprise employees, and build the correlation model between the employee behavior and knowledge discovery objectives in enterprise human resource management. Therefore, our method provides strong technical support for enterprise knowledge management decision making.

Control right paradox, compensations of control right cost and R&D investment
Ran Rong, Wang Ding, Xie Yi
    2015, 36(8): 86-95.
    Abstract ( 1036 )
Considering the perspective of Private Benefits of Control(PBC) Paradox, this paper has studied the effects and mechanism of the decisions on R&D investment of High and New Technology Enterprises presided by controlling shareholder with inner benefits motivation. We argue that, firstly, the level of PBC and R&D investment expenditure and intension mainly shows an inversed-U shape tendency. Secondly, there exists difference effects among different kinds of PBC. A positive incentive marginal effect of moderate PBC on R&D investment expenditure and intension is remarkably suggested in empirical tests following marginal decrease rule. Then, the same positive effect of excessive PBC on R&D investment expenditure is found, but excessive PBC does not show any effect on R&D investment intension. Moreover, the positive effect of low PBC on R&D investment expenditure and intension is very weak, and this suggests there is not any incentive effect on controlling shareholders. Lastly, there are not any interesting evidences if the ownership of actual controlling shareholders is involved in the empirical tests mentioned before.

Impacting mechanism of executive compensation incentive on corporate debt maturity
Liu Jingjian, Jiao Huaidong, Nan Xiaoli
    2015, 36(8): 96-103.
    Abstract ( 966 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1075 )
From the traditional agency theory, debt maturity decision is influenced by the relationships between creditor and shareholder, but whether it includes the information of executive incentive compensation? This paper elucidates the impacting mechanism of executive compensation structure on debt maturity based on creditors' expectation. With the panel data analysis of listed companies that implemented the stock incentive plan from 2008 to 2012, results show that there is a reverse U-shape relationship between executive cash compensation and debt maturity, stock option plan and stake-raising are positive but incentive intensity is opposite, which is consistent with research hypotheses. Last, some advicesis put forward on the executive compensation design, credit rating by creditor, and how to improve information disclosure.

How Guanxi influence IT outsourcing performance: An investigation of the moderated mediation effects
    Wang Jianjun, Zhao Jinhui
    2015, 36(8): 104-111.
    Abstract ( 1112 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1029 )
Based on the social capital theory, this paper builds up a mediated moderation model to understand the influence of Guanxi on IT outsourcing performance, and examine the mediation role of service quality and the moderation effect of Guanxi from the vendors' perspective. We collected a sample of 237 managers from Chinese IT outsourcing companies, and applied the structural equation model and the moderation method to empirically test the model and the hypothesis. The results indicated that: (1) Guanxi is taking service quality as fully intermediate variable to impact indirectly and positively the vendors' IT outsourcing performance, while its direct effect is not significant; (2) Guanxi can moderate negatively the mediation role of service quality. The effect of service quality on vendors' IT outsourcing performance under the low level of Guanxi is strikingly greater than that under the high level of Guanxi.

Transformational leadership and employee creativity—The mediating role of pressure
Cai Yahua, Jia Liangding, Wan Guoguang
    2015, 36(8): 112-119.
    Abstract ( 1340 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1216 )
The influence of leadership in the employee creativity is an important topic for the organizational management research. The present research provides the possible theoretical explanations to the proposition that transformational leadership promotes the employee leadership, but the empirical results are inconsistent. In this paper, we try to identify the "dark side" of transformational leadership on creativity. By exploring the mediating role of pressure between transformational leadership and creativity, we find that challenging work, one type of pressure, mediates the positive relationship between transformational leadership and creativity; but more importantly, workload pressure as other type of pressure, mediates the negative relationship between transformational leadership and creativity. In a two-wave study of 905 employees nested in 205 work units from 65 high-technology firms in China, the random coefficient model results support the "dark side" view that transformational leadership may have impedimental effect on creativity through influencing workload pressure of followers. In a bunch of literature which extols favorable aspects of transformational leadership, our paper contributes to the research on dark side of transformational leadership.

Consensus, symbiosis and a win-win situation: The process model of value co-creation
Zhou Wenhui, Cao Yu, Zhou Yifang
    2015, 36(8): 129-135.
    Abstract ( 1620 )
This paper uses an exploratory case study method, selects the cooperation case between one R&D service institutions and three small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises as the research object, the study found that: R&D service and SME value co-creation process models are divided into three stages:theconcept of consensus, the value of symbiosis, and the value of a win-win situation. R&D service helps enterprises "awareness" and "awakening" to reach a consensus through interactive diagnosis and study exchange by using a "talk + teach" mission; and it also help enterprises to "learn" and "to learn in order to practise", to promote the value of symbiosis by using a "professor + coach" teaching mode, to "teach a man how to fish" rather than to "give a man a fish". Then, through the "Q&A + reply" doubts-solving method, R&D service will help enterprises to implement plan and achieve the goal of a win-win situation of values.

Themodel estimation and policysuggestions of the Chinese Money Demand Function
Dong Huijun, Song Yinqiu, Lv Ping
    2015, 36(8): 136-143.
    Abstract ( 928 )   PDF (1KB) ( 1230 )
Based on the co-integration test findings, this paper constructs an error correctionmodel (ECM) to evaluate the dynamic adjustment process of money demand in China from 1992 to 2012. The co-integration test suggests that a certain long-run relationship exists among money demand, real income, inflation rate and interest rate. But, the ECM shows that the dynamic adjustment process of money demand maintains unstable. Moreover, with the constant promotion of interest rate liberalization and the improvement of financial markets, the money demand function will become much more unstable than before. Therefore, the short-term money growth rate cannot be predicted precisely, we should adjust the intermediate targets of monetary policy timely to promote the healthy development of China's economy.
