Influence of cognitive consistency of team-members' professional skills on innovation

Abstract: This research used a questionnaire investigation based on 42 high-tech enterprises in Jiangsu Province, to test the effect mechanism of cognitive consistency of team-members' professional skills on innovation atmosphere and innovation performance with the analysis tool of regression and SEM . The results showed that, cognitive consistency of professional skills among members in knowledge-teams has a positive effect on both team innovation performance and innovation atmosphere, and the members' perception of distributive justice plays a mediating role in the process of this positive effect, while the members' perceived procedural justice plays a moderating role in the above impact process, and the more intense team members perceive the procedural justice, the more significant the positive effect of their cognitive consistency of professional skills on innovation performance and innovation atmosphere.
