Consensus, symbiosis and a win-win situation: The process model of value co-creation

Abstract: This paper uses an exploratory case study method, selects the cooperation case between one R&D service institutions and three small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises as the research object, the study found that: R&D service and SME value co-creation process models are divided into three stages:theconcept of consensus, the value of symbiosis, and the value of a win-win situation. R&D service helps enterprises "awareness" and "awakening" to reach a consensus through interactive diagnosis and study exchange by using a "talk + teach" mission; and it also help enterprises to "learn" and "to learn in order to practise", to promote the value of symbiosis by using a "professor + coach" teaching mode, to "teach a man how to fish" rather than to "give a man a fish". Then, through the "Q&A + reply" doubts-solving method, R&D service will help enterprises to implement plan and achieve the goal of a win-win situation of values.
