Based on the literature review, a formation mechanism model of competitive advantages for the market-oriented medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises is proposes. By taking 136 medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises as samples in the seven areas of Zhejiang Province, the scales of enterprises and innovation patterns are introduced as control variables, and an empirical study on the model is conducted. The results show that market orientation has a positive impact on knowledge integration for the medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises. Market orientation has not only a direct impact, but also an indirect impact on organizational innovation through knowledge integration. Market orientation not only directly affects the competitive advantages of these enterprises, but also indirectly affects the competitive advantages of them by knowledge integration and organizational innovation. Knowledge integration has a significant positive impact on organizational innovation, while it has no impact on competitive advantages. Organizational innovation has a significant positive impact on competitive advantages in medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises, and also plays a completely intermediary role between knowledge integration and competitive advantages. Furthermore, it is also found that for the small and micro-sized enterprises, market orientation has an insignificant impact on organizational innovation and competitive advantages; knowledge integration and organizational innovation also have an insignificant effect on competitive advantages of them.
