    2013, 34(5): 39-47.
    Abstract ( 2153 )   PDF (974KB) ( 2892 )
Clustered firms not only possess rich local social capital, but also enjoy extra-local social capital, while different types of social capital act on penetrative innovation with different mechanisms. Therefore, the mediation effect of organizational learning between social capital and incremental innovation is explored. The empirical analysis based on 169 clustered firms located in Zhejiang Province reveals that (1) Dual social capital has a distinctive effect on the two paradigms of organizational learning. Extra-local social capital is beneficial to explorative learning, and local social capital is beneficial to exploitative learning, respectively. (2) Taking one step ahead, explorative learning has a positive effect on radical innovation, while exploitative learning has a negative effect on that because of occupying resources.

    Yan Yan, Chi Renyong
    2013, 34(5): 48-55.
    Abstract ( 1861 )   PDF (956KB) ( 2689 )
When the relationship between enterprise R&D investment and innovation performance is explored, the existing studies ignore the regulation effect of technology acquisition pattern on the relationship. By taking technology acquisition pattern of enterprise as a regulation variable, a theoretical model involving the R&D investment, the source of technology, the introductive pattern of foreign technology, and the enterprise innovation performance is presented, an empirical analysis is conducted by using a grouping regression method, combining with the results of a questionnaire survey for the high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang Province. The findings provided are as follows: There is a significantly positive correlation between enterprise's R&D investment and innovation performance. Independent R&D as the main source of enterprise technology, and the purchases of technical data or patents as primary pattern of foreign technology introduction make a positive regulation effect on the relationship between enterprise's R&D investment and innovation performance. Whereas cooperative R&D as the main source of technology, and the purchases of foreign equipments or samples as well as the engagement of foreign technical personals as the primary pattern for bring in foreign technology all have a negative regulation effect on the relationship.

    Long Jing, Chen Chuanming
    2013, 34(5): 56-63.
    Abstract ( 1873 )   PDF (963KB) ( 2642 )
By combining the theory of organization behavior with the theory of innovation, how different power dependent of service intermediate could affect the relationship between the service intermediates and the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) and then affect the innovative performance of SME are discussed. Base on the sample analysis of 244 SMEs, the power dependent ways of service intermediate is found; it makes no matter whether depend on individual power or on position power, all positively affect the relationship strength between the service intermediates and the SMEs and then improve the innovative performance of SMEs. The research also indicates that the tie strength between the service intermediates and the SMEs could mediate the relationship between power dependent ways of service intermediates and the innovative performance of SME. The service intermediates should properly apply different power source to positively affect the tie strength between the SMEs and themselves, and further improve the innovative performance of SMEs.

Indicators for patent quality and their effectiveness:A case study on machine tools patents issued by SIPO
    Chen Haiqiu, Han Liyan
    2013, 34(5): 93-101.
    Abstract ( 2013 )   PDF (1055KB) ( 2294 )
Against the background of explosive expansion of patent quantity worldwide, the effective evaluation indicators at the early stage of patents serve as a powerful tool for mastering the technology development trend, service strategy, and technological management. Taking machine tool patents issued by State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) of China during the period of 1986-2005 as a research object, early stage indicators are constructed based on the economic or technical information obtained in the early patent bibliography, and the patent renewal duration is selected as the proxy variable of the patent quality. How effective the patent quality characterized by these indicators is studied with the aid of the statistical software of SPSS and Cox survival analysis modeling. It is found that the increase of claim number is able to reduce the survival risk of internal patents, meanwhile the increase of both specification pages and inventors is able to reduce the survival risk of external patents, and the average patent quality for corresponding group is relatively higher. It is further indicated that the number of patent claims, patent specification pages, and inventors are able to reflect patent quality with the different degrees. The results and approaches of the study enlighten on the exploration and determination of early stage patent evaluation indicators, and these indicators are especially suitable to the SIPO data, and provide the reference for the study of patent asset value in the view of generalized fictitious economics.

The structure of corporation capital investment and allocation with GDP competition motivation
    Zhao Jing, Hao Ying
    2013, 34(5): 102-110.
    Abstract ( 1830 )   PDF (996KB) ( 2547 )
Since the different investment forms make different contribution to GDP growth, the impact of the GDP competition motivation on enterprise investment decisions is studied, and the crowding out effect of fixed assets investment on technology investment is found out. It shows that (1) based on the GDP competitive motivation, the local government will intervene state-owned enterprises for increasing the investment in fixed assets and decreasing technology investment; (2) considering the GDP competition, the different modes for government intervention in capital investment exist, and the state-owned enterprises controlled by Commission of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration(SASAC) directly has the largest scale and growth rate for fixed assets investment; (3) the influence of local government GDP competitive motivation on central enterprises capital investment is slight; (4) in the presence of GDP competition motivation, the local government intervention in the enterprise capital investment has a selection tendency for maximizing the GDP growth; the fixed assets investment not only squeezes off the technical investment, but also leads to the alienation of capital investment structure. The results are able to further improve the single appraisal system when GDP is the center index, and provide theoretical and empirical evidence for raising the level of government governance.

The path optimization of provincial lower-carbon economic growthand the decoupling prediction of carbon emissions in each province of China
Gong Weifeng, Zhou Dequn, Wang Chuanhui
    2013, 34(5): 111-120.
    Abstract ( 1958 )   PDF (1119KB) ( 2379 )
An optimal model of provincial lower-carbon economic growth is established based on the global optimal angle. Under the constraint of energy intensity and carbon emissions intensity of China, the optimal path for provincial lower-carbon economic growth is found. The decoupling relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth of each province is predicted, and the decoupling relationship between energy consumption and economic growth of each province is also predicted. If each provincial government is able to achieve the target of energy intensity and carbon dioxide emissions intensity during the period of 2010-2015, the economic growth rate of Shanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and Guizhou would be impeded, however the economic growth rate of other provinces in China would be promoted. Increasing economic growth rate of Beijing, Hebei, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Guangdong is benefit to drive economic development of Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Guizhou. But the energy-carbon intensity of several provinces would be increased. From 2010 to 2015, the energy intensity and carbon emissions intensity of the whole nation would be reduced about 18.19% and 19.56%, respectively. Excerpt the carbon emissions, energy consumption, and economic growth for the provinces of Hainan and Qinghai all in the status of growth connection, rest of the provinces are all in the condition of weak decoupling. The results show that the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction is remarkable on the optimal economic growth path. The growth rate of carbon emissions is slower than the growth rate of energy consumption in each province. It means that energy resource structure of each province is gradually optimizing.

The effect of work stress and social support on college teachers’ job performance
    Fang Yangchun
    2013, 34(5): 136-143.
    Abstract ( 2053 )   PDF (948KB) ( 2772 )
Through the empirical investigation, the effect of social support and work stress on college teachers' job performance is studied. Results are as follows: (1) College teachers' work stress is higher, the stress is caused by high job demand, low pay, and long working hours for teaching and scientific research; teachers get more social support from families and friends rather than from colleagues and superiors. And they get more emotional support, less instrumental support and informational support from society. (2) Five dimensions of work stressor are significantly positive correlated with the symptom of stress. The work stressor due to heavy workload and long working hours is significantly negative correlated with the contextual performance; while high job demand, low pay, heavy workload, and long working hours are significantly negative correlated with task performance. (3) Both work stressor and social support possess the certain prediction function on the symptoms of stress; the symptoms are the intermediary variables affecting the work performance by work stressor and social support. (4) Social support has a directly positive effect on contextual performance, however not on task performance. Finally, according to the results of empirical analysis, from the five aspects of school, leadership, family, friend, and oneself, the measures for improving the work stress management and social support for college teachers are put forward.

The credit behavior characteristics of online group buying businessbased on the information available to the public
Guan Xiaoyong, Chen Hong, Liu Runran, She Li
    2013, 34(5): 144-152.
    Abstract ( 1684 )   PDF (882KB) ( 2632 )
Online group buying industry has emerged since the beginning of 2010 in China; however it has sharply declined only after a one and half years of crazy development. Credit chaos is the main cause for the decline. Prevalence and severity of credit loss in online group buying industry not only harm the interests of consumers, cracking down their confidence in the online group buying, but also ultimately constrain its own development. Since August 2010, a large number of online group buying businesses have gone bankruptcy one after the other. It is clear that credit rebuilding is the strategic demand for the future development of online group buying industry in China, and is also the inevitable choice for the current survival of the industry. However, the study on the credit management technology of e-commerce under the network environment has just started, and the credit theory of e-business that it depends on is basically blank. Based on that, guiding by traditional credit theory, the study on the credit behavior characteristics of online group buying business based on the information available to the public is conducted in order to provide the theoretical basis for the credit management of online group buying and other e-businesses.
