Abstract

In the context of new competition paradigm based on knowledge and learning, more and more people have recognized the important management value of technological diversification for promoting firm's innovation. How technological diversification impacts on firm's competitive advantages has become an important research direction in the last 20 years. The concept, motivation, and mode of technological diversification are elaborated, and then the relationship between technological diversification and enterprise competitive advantages is reviewed from the perspective of theory, method, and empirical research. In the end, the inspiration of existing research on management practice, the shortcomings of existing research, and the future direction of related research are proposed.
