Base on the sample analysis of 244 SMEs, the power dependent ways of service intermediate is found; it makes no matter whether depend on individual power or on position power, all positively affect the relationship strength between the service intermediates and the SMEs and then improve the innovative performance of SMEs. The research also indicates that the tie strength between the service intermediates and the SMEs could mediate the relationship between power dependent ways of service intermediates and the innovative performance of SME. The service intermediates should properly apply different power source to positively affect the tie strength between the SMEs and themselves, and further improve the innovative performance of SMEs.
