Abstract: Based on the data of Chinese manufacturing industry from 2003 to 2013, this paper, by means of grey relational theory and distance collaborative model, makes a comparative study of the product and process innovation synergy development degree from the overall, regional and provincial aspects. The results show that, the overall innovation synergy development degree of Chinese manufacturing industry presents a sustained upward trend, but the development degree of product and process innovation is lower than its coordination degree;the innovation synergy development degree of regional manufacturing industry in eastern, central and western regions is significantly different, among which the eastern region is in the lead, the central region is the second, and the western region is the lowest;and there are also obvious differences of innovation synergy development degree among provincial manufacturing industry. Based on these results, this paper puts forward some relevant policy recommendations for promoting the innovation synergy development of Chinese manufacturing industry.
