An analysis of the structural characteristics and evolution of the university-firm patent cooperative network by taking 985 universities as an example

Abstract: University-firm patent cooperation is an important mode of cooperation to promote the transformation and development of universities and accelerate the “Double First-Class” construction. This article uses the Chinese patent full-text database based on social network analysis to construct the universities-firm patent cooperation network by taking 985 universities as an example, and then analyses the characteristics of the network structure and the position of the university and firm in the network. The results show that the breadth and depth of patent cooperation between universities and firms have been improved. As far as colleges and universities are concerned, comprehensive universities and polytechnic universities are in an important position in the patent cooperation network, and Tsinghua University is at the core of the network. In the case of enterprises, energy enterprises are important in the cooperative network.
