An analysis of the impact of policy mix on leading markets by taking the new energy vehicle industry as an example

Abstract: As a strategic emerging industry in China, new energy vehicles have been strongly supported by national policies in the past ten years. With the continuous maturity of technology and market, China's new energy vehicle industry has achieved the world's first sales volume for three consecutive years, forming the leading market of new energy vehicles. This paper evaluates the effect of new energy vehicle policy mix from three aspects including comprehensiveness,consistency and balance on the leading market by multiple linear regression method. The results show that the comprehensiveness and consistency of our new energy vehicle's overall policy mix has a significant positive impact on the formation of the leading market. Meanwhile, the consistency of policy mix of supply-side, demand-side as well as environment instruments are not significant on leading market.
