A study about opportunity-resource integration exploitation behavior

Abstract: The embedded analysis and thought on the comprehensive and systematical perspective research of the opportunity-resources development behavior will not only contribute to the profound understanding of the essential attribute of entrepreneurial behavior, but also clarify the main context of the entrepreneurial process. Unfortunately, most of current works are based on opportunity-resources ambidexterity theory, and restricted to the thought and conclusion. In this paper, through reference to some analytical method of system theory and coordination of both opportunity and resources theory, we first proposed the idea of Opportunity-Resource Integration Exploitation Behavior. After that, to ensure the effectiveness and rationality of this new concept, we finished the systematic hierarchical division and system construction. Furthermore, we make an empirical test including 214 effective questionnaires to justify this conception further. The results showed that the questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and the principal components analysis results showed the rationality of the generation of new items. The Opportunity-Resource Integration Exploitation Behavior offers a novel theoretical perspective to the entrepreneurship academic world, which is of great value and significance to the research.
