Research on entrepreneurs’ social network, dualistic innovation and technologicalinnovation performance

Abstract: The academia has not yet discussed or studied the acting path "black box" of enterprise innovation relating to the impact of the entrepreneur social networks. Based on the study of social networks and Dualistic innovations with 151 entrepreneurs of high-tech private enterprises as the research targets, this paper discusses the intermediary role of dual innovation between entrepreneurs' social networks and innovation performance. The research results shows that the entrepreneurs' social network has a significant positive effect on the technological innovation performance; there is availability of two types of intermediary mechanisms including exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation; the breath of network, upper reachability of network and strength of network tie of entrepreneurs' social networks influence the technological innovation performance mainly through the use of exploitative innovation mechanisms, while the heterogeneity of network and universality influence the technological innovation performance mainly through exploratory innovation mechanism.
