Abstract: With two-level CES production function model, the paper analyzes Jiangsu enterprises' R&D data, and studies whether the R&D contribution of export enterprises is different from that of non-export enterprises and whether the R&D contribution of the export or non-export enterprises varies due to the difference of production, area, firm scale and category. The study result shows that the export enterprises' R&D input-output contribution is significantly higher than that of the non-export enterprises, that the non-R&D input-output contribution is greater than the R&D input-output contribution for some industries, and that the R&D capital input-output contribution is greater than the R&D labor input-output contribution.
