The influence of emotional intelligence on employee creativity

Abstract: The employee creativity is a key topic which concerns the sources of organizational core competence. This paper intends to investigate the influence of the employee emotional intelligence on the employee creativity and the regulating effects of the enterprise human resource strategy and the employee innovative characters on this relationship. By adopting the approach of random sampling to 340 valid samples, the study finds out that:(1) the employ emotional intelligence (EEI), the employee creative characters (ECC), the enterprise investment innovative strategy and the involvement cultivation strategy have an obvious positive effect on the employee creativity; (2) a further analysis of the above three interactive factors reveals that the adoption of the investment innovative and improvement of the employee creative characters have an enhancing impact on the relationship between the employee emotional intelligence and the employee creativity.
