Abstract

Team is currently an important form of organization for enterprises to conduct innovation activities, but the phenomenon of pseudo-teams still exists in large quantities. How to improve team innovation performance becomes a serious practice problem. This paper integrates social network theory and knowledge management theory to explore the effect mechanism of team internal social network on team innovation performance. We conduct an empirical research based on the survey data from 60 R&D teams by means of social network analysis and linear regression. The research results show that the density of friendship network and centrality of advisory network have a significant effect on the team innovation performance and the knowledge integration among team members plays mediating role on the effect.
