Organizational creativity and organizational innovation performance—Moderating Role of Strategic Orientation

Abstract: As the prerequisite and knowledge base for the organizational innovation, the organizational creativity affects the organization's innovational performance. Based on the Creativity & Innovation theory and the strategic orientation theory, the paper analyzes the relationship between the organizational creativity and the organizational innovational performance, and then tests the moderating effect of the strategic orientation (including the market orientation and the entrepreneurial orientation) on this relationship. Through an empirical research based on the data collected from 269 Chinese firms, it is found out that the organizational creativity is positively related to the organizational innovation performance, and the entrepreneurial orientation enhances the relationship between the organizational creativity and the organizational innovation performance.
