Building industry-university-research institute collaboration theory from case study

Abstract

Abstract: By using the literature analysis and the frameworks of evaluation and process of case studies, how to use case study method in the theory building of Industry-University-Research institute Collaboration (IURC) is explored and analyzed, including its definition, current status and issues, and frameworks and steps. The results show that whether at home or aboard, the case studies on IURC are relatively very limited and weak, the published papers involving the case studies of IURC are not rigorous. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages and improved suggestions for building IURC theory from case study are pointed out.
