Abstract

With the rapid development of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), the collaboration between corporations and NPOs has become an inexorable trend. Based on the survey of 218 enterprises in China and with the aid of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the mechanism for collaborating on corporations with NPOs and gaining competitive advantage is empirically analyzed. The research manifests that the collaborative features of corporations-NPOs network are able to improve corporate competitive advantage through its influence on inter-organizational learning capability and resource acquisition; In the process of corporations-NPOs collaboration, knowledge spillover and resource transfer are selective and uneven. Corporate innovation ability has the significant meaning for corporations to gain competitive advantage. It might also provide some guidance for corporations to balance and manage such collaborative relationships.
