Abstract: By using the qualitative research methods (grounded theory), the factors affecting the innovative resource sharing under open innovation pattern are identified, a system architecture that consists of 90 keywords, 36 sub-areas, four main areas (environment variables, resource sharing channel, innovation resource requirements, and resource pool) and one core category (innovation resource sharing under open innovation mode) is formed. Then the influencing mechanism of each main area is cleared and the open innovation practice of P&G is taken as a case to support the conclusion. The results show that the innovation resource sharing under open innovation pattern takes environment variables as the causal conditions, the construction of resource sharing channel as an intermediary conditions or bridge, resource requirements and resource pool as the arteries and veins of action/interaction strategies. Finally, the practical value and future research directions of the study are pointed out.
