Abstract

Based on the panel data from 1995 to 2007, the effect mechanism of knowledge acquisition on innovation performance is analyzed. The results show that enterprises not only acquire knowledge directly, but also draw knowledge indirectly by relying on local firm networks. Different types of knowledge are transferred differently. Overall, the more heterogeneity the knowledge is, the more complex its transfer is.
