Abstract: By employing bibliometric analysis, 69 documents are summarized and classified based on the key word frequency analysis. The result shows that the top 10 most frequently mentioned Critical Success Factors (CSFs) include technology, effective team and staff, good communication and information system/feedback, user/client involvement, sufficient/well allocated resources/founding environment, good decisive and competent manager, top management commitment and support, strong control capable of operation, simple and flexible phased stage/process, and clarity of objectives/vision goal. By analyzing word frequency of these CSFs during the past years, the changes and their causes of CSFs in high-tech product’s R&D are analyzed; it helps researchers to understand the status que and the future direction of the research area.
