Abstract: Case study is one of the most important methodologies for building managerial theories. In the number of papers published in Chinese professional journals, case studues used as a research method are growing in these years, so it is the right time to systematically review and evaluate the status of case study in China. These case study outcomes are analyzed and evaluated from the aspects of case selection, data source, data analysis, and research results. Then, the samples articles are assessed from four quality criteria of case study, that is, construct validity, internal validity, external validity, and reliability.
