Abstract: Abstract: Through the comparative study of formal and informal organizations, a new concept of quasi-formal organization is proposed. Based onanalyzingthe basic characteristics of quasi-formal organizations, a thorough discussion on the types of quasi-formal organizationsand the interaction between quasi-formal organizations and formal organizations in universities and research institutes is conducted.
