Abstract

Abstract: Based on the literature review, a hypothesis model about the relationship between heterogeneity of Top Management Team(TMT) and the innovational performance of enterprises was put forward. Through an investigation into the private corporations, it is found that the heterogeneity of education level of TMT member had the positive and notable influence on the R&D performance, manufacture and innovation process, but it had no prominent influence on the marketing performance. The heterogeneity of TMT member term had positive and notable influence on all the four dimensions of R&D performance. The heterogeneity of TMT member age had no prominent influence on the R&D performance, but it had notable and negative influence on the performance of manufacture, marketing and innovation process. It provided some reference gist for the deeper research on technological innovation of enterprises from the point of TMT.
