Abstract: Enterprise growth, as the micro-foundation of a country’s economy development and prosperity, has a significant study value. By using modern ecological theory and analyzing the endogenous factors of the enterprise growth, the following conclusions are obtained: the endogenous ecological carriers are the factors of key stone species, dominant species, and redundancy species, their ecological attribute, ecological structure, ecological relation, and forming mechanism constitute enterprises’ endogenous capability. Finally, by taking operational and developing condition of Chinese hi-tech enterprises in 2001-2005 as an example, the enterprise endogenous capability model is demonstrated and some strategies for enterprise sustainable growth in China are presented.

Key words: enterprise growth, endogenous capability, factor of key stone species, factor of dominant species, the factor of redundancy species
