Abstract

The CIMC, the largest container provider in the world, is chosen as a typical example of “Made in China”, and the reason why CIMC can win the strong competitiveness in recent years is explored. The conclusion is drawn from this case study, that is, in order to win sustainable competitionadvantages in the new economy, Chinese firms must try to transform from the paradigm of traditionalinnovation managementto the open and total innovation.
