An empirical analysis on how hi-tech industries impact the industrial structure upgrading in China during the last 10 years is given by using the econometric approach. The results show that the rapid development of hi-tech industries in resent years does have obviously impacts on the industrial structure upgrading. Though the development of hi-tech industries has little influences on changeing the proportion of three industries, it has some remarkable effects on the improvements and upgrade of the industrial structure of technology, labor, and capital.
