To evaluate the technology innovation system of Chinese solid mine indnstry how to adapt the environment and push the innovation effectively, an evaluation system is designed to measure the performance of technology innovation. The objectives for the technology innovation appraisement system are analyzed, the evaluation system is put forward, and the evaluation model based on the total factor productivity and BP neural network is built. Using the statistical data, the empirical study is made to evaluate Chinese solid mine industry technical innovation level and determinants from 1996 to 2003.
