Abstract:     Research on how consistency with the government′s digital orientation promotes enterprises′ dominant logic and capability portfolio, thus facilitating digital servitization has been underexplored. By conducting a longitudinal case study of Wolong Group′s digital servitization from 2007 to 2022, this paper found that manufacturing enterprises′ digital servitization has experienced from the stages of "incubation", "growth" and "fission". With the consistency of the digital orientation between the government and enterprises, manufacturing enterprises′ dominant logic changes from the product-dominant logic to product-digital dual dominant logic, which then changes to the digital-service dual dominant logic. Manufacturing enterprises′ capability portfolios change from technological capabilities-dominant to digital capabilities-dominant and then to service capabilities-dominant. This paper has not only enriched the co-evolution among the government-firm digital orientation consistency, enterprises′ dominant logic and capability portfolios, but also provided managerial implications for manufacturing enterprises to handle the dilemma of digital servitization.
