Abstract: The imperative task faced nongovernmental enterprises is how to improve their competitive advantage. On this question, extant researches often focus on macro and middle perspectives such as institution system and industry, rarely on micro firm-level perspective. Based on the resource-based theory of the firm, this research examined evolutionary path of Zhejiang nongovernmental manufacturing enterprises' resource bundle. The paper concludes with suggestions for nongovernmental enterprises to improve their competitive advantage by strengthening their resources and capabilities.
