An empirical research on knowledge transfer motivation in project-based organizationsbased on the inter-hierarchical role of organizational context

Abstract: knowledge is a key resource in the project-based organizations, and its transfer or share not only effectively contribute to the successful of the project but more conducive to the long-term development of PBOs. In this study, hierarchucal linear model was used to analyze the organizational contex how to cross level impact on member’s knowledge transfer motivation and knowledge transfer effect in project-based organization by collecting and analyzing the 480 sample questionnaire data from China Construction Suilding(Group) Corporation limited. The results show that the motivation of knowledge transfer is the key factor to determine the behavior of knowledge transfer; the organizational context take a different influence for motivation and effection of knowledge transfer. The findings reveal the intrinsic mechanism of organizational context how to influence the motivation and effection of knowledge transfer, which will extends related research of mainstream literature and provide a reference for knowledge management in PBOs.
