An analysis of China's high-speed rail disruptive innovation path

Abstract: A better industry forecast and outlook can be made through exploration of China's high-speed rail innovation model. On the basis of combing the history of successful disruptive innovation technology, this paper summarized the technical characteristics and development track of disruptive technology innovation through historical comparative analysis. This paper reviewed the background and process of China's high-speed rail innovation and analyzed the features of China's high-speed rail technology, only to find out that the technology is in line with the characteristics of disruptive innovation. From interpretation of China's high-speed rail disruptive innovation path, the research found out that the government's policy guidance and R&D support on China's high-speed rail development is a very important reason that cannot be ignored for the disruptive innovation of China's high-speed rail. Disruptive innovation is not necessarily completed by small enterprises in a free market. Under the government's guidance and encouragement, large enterprises may also complete disruptive innovation.
