Abstract: Taking learning effect as a medium variable, this paper erects the relationship model of GVC embeddedness and innovation performance of cluster firms, and conduct an empirical research on 134 export-oriented enterprises in the textile clusters in Shaoxing using the structural equation model. The research indicates that (1) the three dimensions of GVC have intrinsic logic links: the structural embeddedness promotes the relational embeddedness and promotes the enhancement of cognitive embeddedness; and (2) the three dimensions of the GVC will not affect directly the innovation performance of the clustered enterprises, but the structural embeddedness and relational embeddedness improves indirectly the innovation performance through the exploitative learning. The author thinks that clustered firms should pay more attention to the intrinsic relationship of the three dimensions of GVC from the strategic level and try to better use external resources by improving the learning ability of clustered firms.
