Team knowledge transfer:The role of diversity and network transitivity

Abstract: Based on the social capital theory, this article explored the influencing factors during the process of knowledge transfer in the use of multiple regression models, examined the mediating role of social network transitivity between team diversity and intra-team knowledge transfer within enterprises. Research process undertaken based on the training, a total of 92 teams with 1159 individuals who came from a China bank participated in the survey. The results showed that the transitivity played the fully mediating role between educational diversity and knowledge transfer and the partially mediating role that links age diversity to knowledge transfer. Moreover, age diversity has a significant influence on both transitivity and intra-team knowledge transfer.
