Abstract: From the perspective of system, the influence factors of motivation synergy in knowledge alliance have been divided into the following: knowledgeagentbehavior, structure of motivation synergy, motive of motivation synergy, and context of knowledge alliance. Based on the researches on different types of knowledge alliance, the study builds structural equation model and tested the model through empirical analysis. The results show thatcooperative behaviorhas a significantly positive impact on motivation synergy in knowledge alliance, whilecompetitive behaviorhasa significantly negative effect. Structure of motivation synergy, motive of motivation synergy and context of knowledge alliancehave significantly positive influences on cooperative behavior, significantly negative influences on competitive behavior. In addition, knowledge agent behavior plays a role of complete mediator on the relationships among structure, motive, context, and motivation synergy. At last, suggestions and implications are concluded for ensuring the effectiveness of motivation synergy in knowledge alliance.
