A comparative study of the impact of technical sources on high-tech industry innovation

Abstract: Based on the panel data of Chinese high-tech industry, using the panel data model and panel VAR model,this paper made a study on the relationship between technical sources and the output of innovation. The results showed that the largest contribution to the output of innovation is independent R&D, the elasticity coefficient is 0.336. The elastic coefficient of the updated and introduced technology are 0.175、0.129, purchasing domestic technology has a non-significant performace. Independent R&D and introduced technology have significant area effect. They are both playing a obvious role in promoting innovation in the eastern region. Updated technology is the primary innovation way in the western region. The study also found that the introduced technology’s influence on innovation has a downward trend.
