Measurement of firms' innovative performance based on “efficiency-output”: Literature review and conceptual framework

Abstract: As a main index of firms' technological innovative capacity, their innovative performance captured extensive attention among managers and academics, although the disagreement on evaluation and measurement of firms' innovative performance between different researchers still exist, which mainly caused by the inexistence of universally used firms' innovative performance measurement scheme. In this paper, based on the summary of the current research related to firms' innovative performance, we place more emphasis on the identification of influencing factors and enhancement path of firms' innovative performance, the measurement and evaluation of firms' innovative performance, after the carding and review, we construct a comprehensive analysis framework for firms' innovative performance evaluation according to the composition and representation forms, in hopes to show the direction for future researches.
