Recently, opportunity discovery has gained great attractions from business and academic circles. Based on literatures on opportunity discovery, three core dimensions of demand, supply, and operation for opportunity and its discovery process are illustrated, a DSO-3D space model of opportunity discovery is constructed, and the route schema of opportunity discovery is investigated, then the acting force of route evolution is modeling from a microscopic view. By studying the interactions between the three dimensions and decision makings, a mechanism model of opportunity discovery route evolution is proposed, and a case of opportunity discovery of an enterprise in telecommunication industry is discussed, finally, the conclusions are drawn and the perspective for future work is presented.
