Abstract： Discipline evaluation is an important way to construct and manage the disciplines of colleges. Begining with the definition of meta-evaluation, the oversea meta-evaluation checklist is improved. Then an empirical study of discipline evaluation is presented. Based on the example of key discipline evaluation of Hebei province, the evaluation activity is judged from “utility of evaluation program”, “feasibility of evaluation program”, “propriety of evaluation process”, and “accuracy of evaluation outcome” through data collection and processing. The study conclusions are presented at last.
