Abstract: Using the circuit principle of physics, a circuit model of patent pool is formed. In this model, each patent corresponds to an electronic element of the circuit, and the block and substitution relationship between the each patent in the pool correspond to series and parallel connections of the circuit. After analyzing the circuit principle of the circuit model, it is concluded that a distribution mode of license fee based on the proportional relation of voltage distribution for the each electronic element is a relatively perfect mode that lays stress on the quality. Then, by open reviewing the character of pools, a model of the optimal patent pool is obtained, which can balance the private benefit of the patent pools and the encouragement of the technology innovation.
