An empirical study of early supplier involvement in new product development

Abstract: ESI is claimed to enhance the independent innovation ability of manufacturers.There has been a great deal of theoretical researches and case studies on this subject carried by scholars.Up to now,homologous researches on how to dynamically implement ESI are scarce.Based on reviews of literature and empirical researches,the main components of ESI are proposed systematically.The result lays the foundation for the successful application of ESI in the Chinese manufacturing industry.
