Empirical study on the relationship between investment intechnological innovation, capital structure, and firm size

Abstract: Using the data from 125 firms which have country or province level technological innovation centers in Jiangsu province, the empirical relationship between investment in technological innovation and firm size along with capital structure is explored. The results indicate that capital structure and investment in technological innovation have negative correlation relationship, and the firm size makes positive and significant contribution to the investment in technological innovation. The results give the support to the Schumpeterian hypothesis at certain degree.
