The impact of information seeking behavior on organizational socialization —based on the perspective of knowledge newcomers

Abstract: A positive analysiswas designed to investigate the impact ofinformation seeking behavior on organisational socialization.Knowledge newcomers were selected as the subject, and the theoretical analyses on information seeking behavior and organizational socialization were conducted, and assumptions invoveled were clarified. The survey date was used to verify the certificated assumptionsby the method of SEM. Through in-depth discussion on the significance of research contentions, some new perspectives were proposed. The key findingis that the different information seeking behaviors have influence on the organizational socialization of knowledge new comer with the diverse path. The results strengthen the conception that the organizational socialization is primarily a learning and adjusting process.
