Abstract: Abstract: The open innovation will not only promote the patent transaction, but also accelerate the innovative division of work. Some patent play companies have selected and implemented a patent focus strategy. It is indicated that patent centralized management is a new trend. The patent focus strategy is the outcome of the open innovation and innovative specialization. The connotation of patent focus strategy is analyed by taking USA Intellectual Ventures LLC as an example, the reason why some companies will select patent focus strategy is explained, and the suggestion that Chinese enterprises should use the patent focus strategy for reference is put forwrd.
