Comparative analysis and implications on the innovation policy for design service sectors

Abstract: Abstract: Design service is considered as not only an important part of creative industry, but also a significant sector for improving competitiveness for manufacturing as well as building an innovative country in China. Through the analysisof 29 different countriesfrom the aspects of policy aims, policy actors, and policy focus by the method of comparative research and induction between China and othercountries, the implications and suggestions for China are formulated in order to foster innovation policies in design services, such as the cooperation on policy aims between economy, society, and education, conforming the layout of policy focus with the growth trait of design service sector, the policy network on collective governance of multi-level policy actors, and the balance between specific sector policy and expansion of existing horizontal polices.
